The Bar was constructed and designed to fit the Georgian period of the building. The style is traditional and reflects countryside pursuits including hunting, fishing and various sporting scenes. This is enhanced by a contemporary twist with the walls decorated in green and lit by Tiffany wall lights and glass lamps to further create the cosy ambience of a countryside retreat.
Fresh Oysters, Whelks, cockles and shrimps invoke the Seaside aspect of the Broads and are the perfect accompaniment to a pint or a glass of wine.
We have created an extensive wine list and have chosen several premium beers to compliment our food. The Bar caters for serious wine drinkers as well as those traditionalist tastes for real ales including favourites such as Adnams Best Beater. Due to our Freehouse status we can seek new and local beer brewers to extend our range and sample up and coming tastes to please the beer connoisseur. Every four weeks we have on tap 2 guest beers. Our own in house brand of beer, Singaputeh Beer, is also available.
In the winter a roaring fire sits at one end of the pub to welcome customers and provides the ideal spot to enjoy our mulled wine throughout the yuletide season. |
