The Dining area is spacious and light oak floors continue the sleek lines of contemporary design. Traditional woods and an open farmhouse kitchen preserve the quintessentially English style.
Our restaurant, 'SASKIA'S' can cater for 50 sittings and has a unique view of the Chefs at work while waiting for service. This interaction with the kitchen suggests a home environment of dining with your host and adds a focal point to the restaurant area for our diners. With countryside views on the other three sides of the restaurant, we can ensure that every sense will be stimulated before, during and after your meal.
'SASKIA'S' leads into the Café area where occasionally live bands and duets play their music to the audience on special occasions.
Most of the Chef’s Specials can be viewed on our blackboards which frequently include old favourites like Steak and Ale Pie, Harleston Pork and Gammon, and Fish Stew. Our Chef Paul Hanley’s signature dish of Brancaster Mussels and an extensive list of grills and seafood complete a mouth-watering collection of flavours.
On Mondays the Wheatacre White Lion offers an alternative menu for our Chinese cuisine, available from 6pm till 9.30pm for bookings in the restaurant or as a takeaway service.
Fresh Oysters, Whelks and Cockles are served at the bar but can also be ordered for the restaurant as an accompaniment or starter.
We also cater for diabetics and diabetic ice cream is available.
Prices range from £8.95 to £14.95 for main courses.
